At Hakuba Inn Bloom, we believe that learning never stops, especially when it comes to sharing something as special as Raden, the traditional Japanese art of decorating with shimmering pieces of mother-of-pearl.
Recently, we had the wonderful opportunity to attend a traditional Raden class in Kyoto. Surrounded by masters of the craft, we practiced new techniques, deepened our knowledge, and gained fresh inspiration for future designs. It was both humbling and exciting to learn directly from such skilled artisans.
All of this preparation is for you, our guests. This winter, we’re planning to offer a wider range of Raden activities, with more variety in styles, patterns, and objects to decorate. Whether it’s your first time joining a workshop or you’ve experienced one of our Raden sessions before, you can look forward to creating something truly unique—and even more beautiful than before.
